Famous qawwali singer Farid Sabri of Sabri Brothers breathed his last yesterday (21st April) in a hospital in Jaipur due to severe pneumonia and lung infection. He did not have COVID-19. He was 58. Farid and brother Ameen, and their father, Saeed Sabri, have delivered some of the extremely popular qawwalis of Hindi films. Two of their super-hit qawwalis are Der na ho jaaye kahni der na ho jaaye and Ek mulaqat zaroori hai sanam.
Farid had been unwell since a few days and was admitted to hospital for pneumonia. His condition worsened last night.
