A new cinema — QLA Cinemas — opened in Gurgaon on 23rd May. Brijesh Tandon has been appointed its booker. The three-screen multiplex is located in Dreamz Mall, and stands at the same place where once stood Jay Cinema. This single-screen cinema was earlier remodelled into a multiplex under the Inox management.
Naresh K. Mehta, director of Jayanti Films India Pvt. Ltd. and Delhi Pictures, and Rajeev Patani, ex-COO of Inox, are the forces behind QLA which is a brand of Jayanti Films India Pvt. Ltd. Jayanti Films had a distribution business in Delhi-U.P. under the name and style of Delhi Pictures.
QLA Cinemas is equipped with two DCI compliant and 3D capable systems and one digital projection system. It employs the latest laser projection technology. The total seating capacity of the three screens is 561.
