The Bandra (Bombay) branch of the Central Bank of India on August 12 seized actor Rajpal Yadav’s property worth crores of rupees in his home town, Shahjahanpur (Uttar Pradesh). A banner of the bank, put up on the seized property a day earlier, said that the property now belonged to the Central Bank of India, Bombay and that no sale of any kind can be made of the same.
The actor had taken a loan of Rs. 5 crore from the bank in 2012 when he had directed Ata Pata Laapata. In 2018, Rajpal had even served a three-month jail sentence in the same case for not being able to repay the loan.
