Anil ‘Billy’ Kapoor, father of actor Ram Kapoor, passed away yesterday (12th April) in Bombay of cancer. He was 73 and is survived by his wife, son Ram and a daughter.
Anil Kapoor was a doyen of the Indian advertising industry, who was instrumental in transforming an ailing advertising agency, Ulka Advertising, and bringing it in the top five. He was chairman emeritus at Draft FCB+ Ulka.
