Zee Studios and Dharma Productions’ Bhoot has been postponed. Instead of 15th November, the film will now release next year. The computer graphics of the Vicky Kaushal starrer are taking longer to complete and hence the film has been shifted to February, 2020.
Taking advantage of the postponement, Dinesh Vijan has advanced the release of his Bala by a week. Instead of 22nd November, the Ayushmann Khurrana starrer will now hit the screens on 15th, rendered vacant due to the postponement of the horror flick. When Bala was announced as due for release on 22nd November, it was to be the solo release on that day. But Pagalpanti got pushed ahead by two weeks — in place of 8th November, its release was shifted to 22nd. This happened because John Abraham, one of the two heroes of Pagalpanti, showed his magnanimity to friend Nikhil Advani and vacated the date (8th November) so that his production venture, Marjaavaan, could have a clean week without any opposition. It may be recalled that Marjaavaan was, a long time ago, announced for release on 2nd October. But when Aditya Chopra decided to bring his War on the Gandhi Jayanti holiday, Nikhil steered clear of that date so that his Ritesh Deshmukh and Sidharth Malhotra starrer would not come in opposition of Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s War. At that time, Nikhil selected 22nd November as his film’s new release date but thanks to John, Nikhil got 22nd November on a platter as Pagalpanti decided to battle it out with Bala at the box-office. But now, Marjaavaan will come on 8th without any major opposition, Bala will release solo on 15th, and Pagalpanti will also not have any opposition on 22nd November.
