Actor Sahil Khan and six of his associates have been booked by the Amboli (Bombay) police on charges of uploading defamatory content online about his business rival. The complainant said in his statement to the police that he blocked 28 Instagram accounts where obscene and defamatory posts and videos related to him, his family and his company were posted. The police registered an FIR against all the seven persons under provisions of the IPC.
He said, Instagram did not delete the pages in spite of his reporting the matter to the social media platform.
In February, Sahil allegedly threatened and verbally abused the complainant’s wife at a gymnasium at Oshiwara in Bombay.
