SALMAN KHAN ASSASSINATION BID FOILED | 10 June, 2022

The police on the night of June 9 identified the person who sent the death threat to Salman Khan and his writer-father, Salim Khan, on 5th June, as Vikram Brar, a close aide of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

Soon after this news, a television news channel reported that there was an assassination bid on the actor in 2019. A sharpshooter was waiting outside Salman’s house with a small-bore weapon in a modified hockey casing to kill the actor. The TV news report alleged that the gangster and his men were tracking Salman’s movements. The sharpshooter was aware that the actor heads out to cycle in the neighbourhood, and is not accompanied by his bodyguards. The plan was to assassinate Salman, but the sharpshooter backed out at the last moment fearing arrest as there were additional police personnel on duty that day in the area.
