After Salman Khan and his writer-dad Salim Khan, his lawyer, Hastimal Saraswat of Jodhpur, has received a threat to his life from Lawrence Bishnoi, a gangster serving time in Delhi’s Tihar jail. Bishnoi was recently in the news following suspicion that his gang members were behind the fatal shooting of Punjabi rapper Sidhu Moose Wala on May 29. Hastimal Saraswat was abroad when the letter was found on the door knob of Jubilee Chamber in Jodhpur.
The letter by Lawrence mentions: “You will meet the same fate as Moose Wala.” It threatens that an enemy’s friend is their first enemy. The reference is to enemy Salman Khan whose father received a death threat in June this year. The letter is signed LB and GB, said to be the abbreviations for Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar, the Canada-based sidekick who had claimed in a social media post, responsibility for Moose Wala’s murder.
