The Bombay high court on February 7 granted bail to two men arrested last year in connection with an alleged conspiracy of the Bishnoi gang to kill actor Salman Khan near his farmhouse at Panvel near Bombay. Justice N.R. Borkar granted the bail applications of Gaurav Bhatia alias Sandeep Bishnoi and Waspi Mehmud Khan.
In 2024, the Navi Mumbai police claimed that the duo, along with other accused, had conducted a recce at Khan’s Panvel farmhouse, the area around his residence at Bandra, and a few places he visited for film shootings, all in and around Bombay. A case was registered against 18 persons including jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, his absconding brother, Anmol Bishnoi, Sampat Nehra, Goldie Brar and Rohit Godara.
