Salman Khan, his siter, Alvira, and seven others associated with the actor’s Being Human have been summoned by the Chandigarh police in an alleged case of fraud. They have been given time till July 13 to reply. A trader of Chandigarh, Arun Gupta, has alleged that two employees of Being Human asked him to open a franchise of Being Human. They told him that the investment for the showroom of Being Human jewellery would be Rs. 2 crore. When Gupta was hesitant, he was allegedly pressurised by the two employees who also promised Gupta that Salman would personally come for the opening of the showroom.
Gupta said, he then opened the showroom after spending Rs. 3 crore instead of Rs. 2 crore. He added, he was also called for a meet-and-greet with the superstar. According to Gupta, when he met Salman, the actor “promised me”. But, according to Arun Gupta, neither did Salman make an appearance at the showroom opening nor did he (Gupta) receive new supplies even after one-and-a-half years of the opening of the showroom. Salman instead sent his brother-in-law, Aayush Sharma, to make an appearance at the showroom opening in Chandigarh. The complainant has also said that Salman Khan had not replied to his letters.
On non-fulfilment of the contract between Salman’s company and Gupta, and on receiving no redressal from the company, Gupta said, he was forced to file an official complaint. He has now appealed to the Chandigarh police to take action against the company and Salman Khan.
