The Delhi high court on July 19 stalled the release of Yash Raj Films’ Shamshera on OTT. The stalling order was obtained by Bikramjeet Singh Bhullar, who has claimed that the film is based on his story. Bhullar has said in his plaint that he neither got the credit for the story nor paid for it.
The film was to stream on Amazon Prime from 21st August but that may not be possible in view of the high court’s stay order. The next date of hearing is August 16.
For the uninitiated, Bikramjeet Singh Bhullar is actress Grusha Kapoor’s husband and writer Ranjeet Kapoor’s son-in-law.
