The government has reconstituted the executive council of the Prime Minister’s Museum and Library (PMML) with Nripendra Mishra, the former principal secretary to the PM, getting another five-year term as its chairperson. The new members include Smriti Irani and Shekhar Kapur from the entertainment industry.
The tenure of the members nominated to the society and council is five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The council is led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as its president. While the previous council had 29 members, the new one has 34.
