Saaz Entertainment, Venus Learning Club and Divyanshi Bio-Organic’s Shishyavrutti (Marathi) is the story of a multi-talented young boy.
Young Raju (Rudra Dhore) lives in a village with his family. He is very clever in academics and is also a good sportsman. Since he hails from a poor family, a new teacher, Gawade Sir (Dushyant Wagh), tries to arrange for scholarship for Raju. But does Raju agree to this aid?
Akhil Desai’s story and screenplay are quite good but not consistently so. The drama loses steam after a point of time. His dialogues are fair.
Rudra Dhore acts ably as Raju. Dushyant Wagh performs well as Gawade Sir. Kamlesh Sawant lends lovely support as Raju’s father. Others are adequate.
Akhil Desai’s direction is okay. Bharat Singh’s music is reasonably nice. Lyrics (Vinod Pitale, Chandrashekhar Teli, Dinkar Khade and Balasaheb Labade) are alright. Navesh Bhosle’s choreography is functional. Subrot Manna’s background music is alright. Cinematography (by Ajit Singh) is quite good. Nagesh Dethe’s art direction is functional. Nuren Ansari’s editing should’ve been sharper.
On the whole, Shishyavrutti is too ordinary to make any mark at the box-office.
Released on 15-3-’24 at Movie Time Goregaon (daily 1 show) and other cinemas of Bombay thru Sunshine Studios. Publicity & opening: poor.
