An industry delegation met Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut today (23rd September) and discussed the issue of reopening of cinemas in Maharashtra. Raut assured the delegation of his immediate support to the film industry and said that the state government would come up with an early solution to the problem.
The delegation comprised Dr. Jayantilal Gada (managing director, PEN Studios), Sanjay Chhatar (PEN Marudhar), Kamal Gianchandani (president of Multiplex Association of India and CEO, PVR Pictures), Alok Tandon (CEO, Inox Leisure), Devang Sampat (CEO, Cinepolis India) and Thomas D’Souza (senior vice president, programming, PVR Cinemas).
