The Bhopal police on January 27 registered a case against actress Shweta Tiwari for the controversial remark she made during the promotion of a web series. She apologised for the same the following day, saying that her comment had been misconstrued and it was not her intention to hurt anyone. The Shyamla Hills police registered a case against her under IPC section 295A (deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings) on the basis of a complaint from a man who was present at the press meeting on January 26 where the comment was made.
Shweta told the media that her bra size was measured by God. She was referring to her co-star in a mythological TV serial in which he played God.
