The Bandra (Bombay) court on November 18 remanded lawyer Faizan Khan to 14 days of judicial custody despite the Bandra police requesting an extension of his police custody for additional questioning due to his lack of cooperation. Raipur-based Faizan was arrested on suspicion in the alleged death threat for actor Shah Rukh Khan. The call was received on the landline of the Bandra police station.
The police said, they did not find connections between the accused and previous threats made to Salman Khan and another person. Authorities found it peculiar that while Faizan Khan reported that his cell phone was missing, he did not deactivate his SIM card. The timing raised questions as the death threat for Shah Rukh Khan was received on November 5, three days after Faizan reported that his phone was missing on November 2.
