Rhea Chakraborty, who is being questioned by the Enforcement Directorate after boyfirend Sushant Singh Rajput’s alleged suicide, in a money-laundering case against her, told the ED officials that Sushant had been paying the EMIs of the flat which he had purchased when he was in a relationship with Ankita Lokhande. She added that the flat was still occupied by Ankita and that Sushant had wanted his ex-girlfriend to vacate it. Sushant and Ankita had split in 2016.
On her part, Ankita later produced bank statements on her social media to prove that the EMIs for the flat were being paid by her. However, the bank statements made available by Ankita reveal EMI payments from 1st January, 2019 to 1st March, 2020. Although she parted ways with Sushant in 2016, the bank statements presented by her do not reveal that she paid the EMIs in 2016, 2017 and 2108.
