Year 2019 was a winning year for several stars but it was forgettable for some too.

Akshay Kumar had four releases, each one bigger than the previous one. His first release in the year gone by was Kesari which netted Rs. 155 crore. Next in line was Mission Mangal which collected Rs. 200 crore. It was followed by Housefull 4 which netted Rs. 203 crore. His last film in 2019 was Good Newwz which is expected to join the Rs. 200-crore club soon.
If Akshay Kumar delivered four hits, Ayushmann Khurrana was a close second in sheer numbers. His first film last year was Article 15 (Rs. 65 crore). It was followed by Dream Girl (Rs. 141 crore) and then Bala (Rs. 115 crore).
Ajay Devgan, Hrithik Roshan and Kartik Aaryan delivered two films each and all the six films were success stories. Ajay gave Total Dhamaal (Rs. 153 crore) and De De Pyaar De (Rs. 95 crore). Hrithik Roshan starred in the year’s biggest blockbuster, War (Rs. 318 crore), and Super 30 (Rs. 146 crore). The two hits of Kartik Aaryan were Luka Chuppi (Rs. 86 crore) and Pati Patni Aur Woh (expected to touch 86 crore).
Shahid Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal led the pack of stars who delivered a hit each. While Shahid’s Kabir Singh collected Rs. 277 crore to become the second highest grosser of the year, Vicky’s Uri – The Surgical Strike struck gold at the box-office with a net collection of Rs. 250 crore, which was the third-highest! Sushant Singh Rajput’s Chhichhore collected Rs. 147 crore while Ranveer Singh delivered a hit in Gully Boy (Rs. 137 crore). Amitabh Bachchan delivered Badla which collected a handsome Rs. 88 crore.
