In a relief to the entertainment industry of the state, the Uttar Pradesh government today (14th October) announced waiver of licence fees of multiplexes and single-screen cinemas for the six months of the pandemic lockdown. Hence cinemas will not have to pay licence fees for the period from April to September 2020 during which they remained shut.
