ULLU DIGITAL COMPANY DEFRAUDED, SEXUAL HARASSMENT CASE AGAINST CEO FALSE | 7 August, 2021

A case of fraud has been registered against the legal head of OTT platform Ullu Digital Pvt. Ltd. The company’s legal head, Heena, recently mailed Ullu Digital, demanding Rs. 15 lakh for an “obscene” film being streamed on the platform. The mail threatened legal action if the money was not paid. The company transferred the amount demanded into the account, details of which were provided. After that, Heena sent another mail to the company, this time demanding Rs. 40 lakh. But she ran out of luck as the company on June 10, 2021 complained to the Lucknow cyber cell. The company also lodged an FIR under sections 384 and 420 of the IPC, and section 66 of the Information Technology Act.

Investigations by the cyber cell revealed that the sender of the mails was the company’s own legal head, Heena Baig. The company filed a case of fraud against her. To seek revenge and to probably save her skin, Heena on 6th August registered a sexual harassment case against CEO Vibhu Agarwal and India head Anjali Raina at the Amboli police station in Bombay. She alleged that she was molested on June 18 in the store room of the company’s Andheri (Bombay) office.

Sexual harassment case against Ullu Digital CEO Vibhu Agarwal was filed in retaliation.

The cyber cell is investigating the fraud case against Heena.
