Jani Chacko Uthup, husband of singer Usha Uthup, passed away today (9th July) in Calcutta due to cardiac arrest. He was 78. He complained of discomfort while watching television at their home and was rushed to hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. The last rites were performed today itself.
