Veteran Malayalam film actress KPAC Lalitha passed away on 22nd February at her son’s residence in Kochi. She was 74. She had been hospitalised for multiple health issues in November last year but when her health started improving, she was shifted to her son’s house.

KPAC Lalitha debuted as an actress on stage at the age of 10. She later joined the KPAC (Kerala People’s Arts Club), a prominent drama troupe of Kerala. She debuted in films with the Malayalam film Kootu Kudumbum (1969). She later played iconic roles in films like Postmane Kananilla, Ponnapuram Kotta, Gandhinagar 2nd Street, Vellanakalude Nadu, Manu Uncle, Swayamvaram, Kanalkkattu, Manichitrathazhu, Thenmavin Kombathu, Varane Avashyamund, Manasinnakkare and Njan Prakashan. In a career of over 50 years, KPAC Lalitha worked in more than 550 films!
