Celebrated yesteryear sound recordist D.O. Bhansali passed away today (4th May) in Bombay. He was 95.
Dhirajlal Ochhavlal Bhansali alongwith Minoo Katrak worked at Famous Laboratory, Tardeo. They recorded the sound for almost all the music directors of the golden era of cinema. In fact, Shankar-Jaikishan insisted on recording their songs only at Famous-Tardeo with Katrak and Bhansali. D.O. Bhansali continued as the sound recordist at Famous-Tardeo for a number of years after Minoo Katrak left.
