Shree Krupa Productions’ Vishu (Marathi; UA) is the story of two unlike poles attracting each other. Vishu (Gashmeer Mahajani) is a happy-go-lucky young man who meets a straightforward but headstrong girl, Aarvi (Mrinmayee Godbole). Vishu falls in love with Aarvi. But their natures are so different that their lives change forever after that.
Mayur Madhukar Shinde has written a story which is not very convincing or engrossing. Hrishikesh Koli’s screenplay is also weak. The drama fails to involve the viewers. Kolhi’s dialogues are average.
Gashmeer Mahajani does well as Vishu. Mrinmayee Godbole performs decently as Aarvi. Aetasha Sansgiri, Mansi Mohite, Milind Pathak, Vijay Nikam and Sanjay Gurbaxani lend routine support.
Mayur Madhukar Shinde’s direction is routine. Rishikesh Kamerkar’s music is ordinary. His background music could’ve been better. Mangesh Kangane’s lyrics are fair. Akshay Salunkhe’s choreography is okay. Mohit Jadhav does a fine job of the cinematography. Bhavesh Todankar’s editing leaves something to be desired.
On the whole, Vishu is too ordinary to make a mark at the turnstiles.
Released on 8-4-’22 at Plaza (daily 1 show) and other cinemas of Bombay thru AA Films. Publicity & opening: dull.
