In view of low footfalls in cinemas, digital projection companies like UFO and Qube have announced continuance of the concession in Virtual Print Fee (VPF) and other discounts till March 31. They had waived the VPF for all films released last year, and had offered a 60% discount for films released in January 2021. The discount will now continue till March 31, 2021. In other words, there will be a 60% discount on the regular VPF/CDC rate cards of UFO and Qube for films released in the months of February and March. Hence the fixed VPF for DCI and E-cinema screens will be Rs. 8,000. For non-DCI and E-cinema properties, applicable logistics and licence/KDM management charges will be nil. For DCI properties, applicable logistics and licence/KDM management charges will be Rs. 2,000 per title per property.
For library content, logistics charges for content delivery and key management for DCI and non-DCI screens will continue to be Rs. 1,500 and Rs. 1,000 respectively.
The above will be applicable for all Hindi and non-South regional markets.
