‘ZEENAT’ REVIEW | 21 June, 2024

Kutumba Mitra Production’s Zeenat (UA) is the love story of a Muslim girl and a Hindu boy.

Shivkumar Swami has penned a clichéd story and a very dull screenplay about an inter-communal love story. Nothing in the drama engages the viewers. Even his dialogues are quite a letdown.

Performances are pathetic. Raju Srivastava is so-so. Chintan Rachchh is weak. Anushi Singh doesn’t impress. Natharam Dewasi barely passes muster. Raj R. Shinde is ordinary. Mahima Waghmode is dull. Saagar Choksi and Shrestha Mishra lend poor support.

Shivkumar Swami’s direction is dull. Ajay Patnaik’s music is below-average. Song picturisations are weak. Camerawork (Sathish Mudiraj and Lohithprajwal Riyanshika) hardly deserves separate mention. Ravi Kumar Kondaveeti’s editing leaves something to be desired.

On the whole, Zeenat will meet with a disastrous fate.

Released on 21-6-’24 at Gem (daily 1 show; first day’s show was cancelled due to lack of audience) and other cinemas of Bombay thru Box Hit Movies. Publicity & opening: poor. …….Also released all over.
