Producers Umesh Kumar Bansal (Zee Studios), Shivin Narang, Aruna Agarwal, Prerna Arora, Shilpa Singhal and Nikhil Nanda launched the exciting trailer of Jatadhara with fanfare in Hyderabad on 17th October with a lot of fanfare. Sudheer Babu, who plays the male lead in the Telugu film, was the cynosure of all eyes. His entry into the auditorium of AAA Cinemas at Ameerpet was met with thunderous applause. No less was the reception given to leading lady Sonakshi Sinha who will be seen in a very different role. Jatadhara has been dubbed in Hindi too. The film is directed jointly by Abhishek Jaiswal and Venkat Kalyan.
The fiction drama has mythology as a significant component. With films like Mahavatar Narsimha (animation), Mirai (Telugu) and Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1 (Kannada and dubbed versions) becoming super-hits in recent times, the producers of Jatadhara are hopeful that their film will also make its mark at the turnstiles. If the response of the fans at the trailer launch event was anything to go by, the anticipation for the film seems to be very high.
Shivin reveals that Prerna was the driving force behind the project and spared neither efforts nor money to make it a visually content-rich film. With successful films like Toilet Ek Prem Katha, Rustom, Pad Man, Parmanu: The Story Of Pokhran and Pari to her credit, Prerna hopes to continue her lucky streak with both the versions of Jatadhara.
Shivin Narang, Aruna Agarwal and Shilpa Singhal are both first-time producers. Shivin is also an actor.
