Small-time actress Pradnya Thakur murdered her 18-year-old daughter, Shruti, on 9th August, and then committed suicide. A suicide note was found in their house at Kalwa (Thane district) where the deaths took place. It was purportedly written by Pradnya, owning up to murdering the daughter and committing suicide. The deepening financial crisis could have been the reason for the extreme step, said Pradnya’s husband. Pradnya Thakur used to act in television serials.
