ANUSHKA, VIRAT KOHLI INVEST RS. 5 CRORE IN DIGIT | 21 February, 2020

Anushka Sharma, husband Virat Kohli and associates have invested Rs. 5 crore in the new-age insurer, Digit. The company was started by Allianz’s former India head Kamesh Goyal, and backed by Prem Watsa’s Fairfax Group.

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s investment was part of an $84-million fund-raising round concluded by the company. The main investors were A91 Partners, Faering Capital and TVS Capital. In two years of operation, Digit has more than 50 lakh customers. Virat Kohli is said to have been impressed with the company’s approach to demystify insurance.
