The ministry of culture has invited applications for award of artistes’ pension under the Scheme of Pension and Medical Aid to Artistes. The applicants should either be state or National award-winners or categorised or recognised artistes of Akashwani/Doordarshan and who can prove that their personal income (including the income of their spouse) from the art activity during their active age did not exceed Rs. 4,000 per month or Rs. 48,000 per annum.
