BJP WORKER COMPLAINS AGAINST URMILA’S ‘ANTI-HINDU’ COMMENT | 13 April, 2019

A BJP worker lodged a complaint on 7th April with the Powai (Bombay) police against Congress’ Bombay North candidate, Urmila Matondkar, for making anti-Hindu remarks. He also sought action against Congress president Rahul Gandhi, and journalist Rajdeep Sardesai for allowing her to make the allegedly objectionable remarks on his news channel. The worker alleged that Urmila, referring to Hindu religion, said, “The religion which has been known for its tolerance has become the most violent.” He said, this was abuse of Hindus.

The actress-politician said that the complaint was bogus, baseless and filed with mala fide intentions. She claimed that she had been grossly misquoted.
