Prime minister Narendra Modi told the media on 15th October that China’s president, Xi Jinping, had mentioned during his recent visit to India that he had seen Dangal. He had added that he saw in the movie what wonders daughters were capable of. Modi made these revelations as he pitched for wrestler and BJP candidate Babita Phogat on whose and whose father’s lives Dangal is based. He was campaigning for Phogat in Charkhi Dadri in Haryana. Narendra Modi said, the Chinese president’s remarks made him feel proud of Haryana.
