The Congress lost no time in criticising the BJP for seeking Sonu Sood’s help in ensuring the return of migrant labourers to their homes.
BJP MLA Rajendra Shukla, who was a former minister, on 3rd June sought help from actor Sonu Sood to bring migrant labourers of Madhya Pradesh back home from Maharashtra. Shukla tweeted, “Sonu Sood ji, residents of Rewa-Satna in M.P. are trapped in Mumbai and haven’t been able to return. Please help us bring them back.” The Congress flayed the BJP, saying that Shukla’s tweet proved that the BJP government had failed to help the labourers.
Sonu replied to Shukla’s tweet, “Sir, no brother will be trapped anywhere. Your migrant brothers will be sent back to you.”
