A Raipur court on 2nd April issued a notice to Aamir Khan to appear on 19th June in connection with his 2015 remark on intolerance. Aamir had said in 2015 on a public platform that his wife, Kiran Rao, had suggested leaving India due to “rising intolerance”.
The petition was earlier rejected on technical grounds. Petitioner Deepak Diwan in 2016 appealed in a lower court.
