Karan Johar has found himself at the centre of a controversy over a party he hosted in his house recently. Akali Dal MLA Manjinder Sirsa has alleged that stars were doing drugs at the party. To substantiate his claim, the MLA has posted a video which, he says, shows several stars as having done drugs. The party was attended by Vicky Kaushal, Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Rohit Dhawan, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Zoya Akhtar, Ayan Mukerji, Malaika Arora, Arjun Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor and Shakun Batra. Sirsa tweeted, “Watch how the high and mighty of Bollywood flaunt their drugged state.” He used the catchphrase ‘Udta Bollywood’ to describe the scene at the party in an obvious reference to Udta Punjab which was a film about drug abuse.
Politician Milind Deora asked Sirsa to tender an apology for the allegedly incorrect news as he said, his wife, film producer Pooja Shetty, was also at the party and nobody was in a drugged state.
