Google has appointed Sanjay Gupta as its new India manager and vice president of sales and operations for India. Gupta was the former India head of Star TV and Disney. He will take on the new role early next year and will operate from Bombay.
Rajan Anandan, who had headed Google India and South East Asia for eight years, had quit in April this year. Vikas Agnihotri, country director for sales, had then been appointed interim Google India head.
