Chandan Nahta, widow of Narsingh Raj Nahta of Lala’s Report, mother of producer and Rajasthan distributor Sahab Raj Nahta, sister-in-law of late producer B.K. Adarsh, late producer Amrit Nahata, late producer Ramraj Nahta, Rajasthani film producer Bharat Nahta, and aunt of your editor Komal Nahta, passed away this evening (27th September) in Bombay. She was 81. She had been unwell since quite some time. She was an ex-corporator from Virar (district Palghar) for three consecutive terms. She will be cremated tomorrow at 11.45 a.m. at Daulat Nagar Smashan Ghat, Borivli East, Bombay.
She is survived by five sons — Sahab Raj, Sathi, Seth, Sanjay and Sunil — and their families.
