The Jammu & Kashmir high court will hear a PIL which seeks a stay on the release of Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Shikara, tomorrow (February 7). According to the petitioners, the film portrays Kashmiri Muslims in “bad light” for the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits. The PIL has been filed by advocate Irfan Hafez Lone, journalist Majid Hyderi and businessman Ifthikar Ahmed. The PIL claims that the film will deepen the wedge between Hindus and Muslims. The film is due for release tomorrow.
