Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis recently told the Legislative Council that the government would not allow Bombay to drift towards gang wars and was determined to nip the dreaded Bishnoi gang in the bud. He added that efforts were underway to secure the custody of Anmol Bishnoi from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in Delhi.
His comment came in the wake of the firing incident outside producer-director Rohit Shetty’s residence on the night of February 1. Five rounds were fired in the attack, with one bullet hitting the glass of the gallery of Shetty’s house. The police have arrested 13 accused in the case so far.
