SAYAJI SHINDE CALLS TREE PLANTATION DRIVE EYEWASH | 22 August, 2019

Actor Sayaji Shinde has called the Maharashtra state government’s tree plantation drive a mere eyewash. He said that there was no record kept of the survival of the trees planted. He added that every school should have a nursery, and students should celebrate at least five birthdays of the trees they plant.

Sayaji Shinde has been an environment enthusiast, and was an active participant in the tree plantation drive of the state government since its launch in 2016 under the leadership of minister for forests, Sudhir Mungantiwar.

Shinde is celebrating a festival in Nasik today (22nd August) where he and students are raising slogans on trees.
