The Maharashtra state government on October 9 issued a GR stating that a committee would be set up under the additional chief secretary (appeals and security) to study the difficulties faced by Marathi films in obtaining multiplex screens. Related issues will also be studied, and solutions to attract the audience to cinemas screening Marathi films will also be suggested by the panel.
