‘TAARE ZAMEEN PAR’ IN CHINESE | 18 May, 2019

Aamir Khan’s debut directorial venture, Taare Zameen Par, will be remade in Chinese. It had been screened in China in 2010 to mark the 60th anniversary of Indo-China diplomatic ties and had been praised. It is also one of the most pirated Bollywood films in China. But it was never released commercially in that country. Its release now is impossible as China does not permit release of foreign films (with Mandarin subtitles) which are more than two years old. Plans are afoot to remake the film in Chinese, with a local star cast. It will be directed by Ma Duo.
