The producers of Thalaivi revealed the first look of the character of erstwhile Tamil Nadu chief minister MGR on his 103rd birth anniversary on 17th January. The character is played by Arvind Swami. Kangana Ranaut plays J. Jayalalithaa in the film. Due for release on June 26, it is produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shailesh R. Singh, and directed by Vijay.
