TRAFFIC BLUES | 30 September, 2019

The Bombay traffic is getting to even the celebrities now.

Akshay Kumar preferred taking public transport to reach his destination on time rather than getting delayed in a traffic snarl. This happened on 18th September when he was shooting for Good Newwz at Ghatkopar, a suburb of the metropolis. The actor had to reach Versova after shooting wrapped up. His Google map showed that it would take him two hours and five minutes to reach his destination. That’s when the film’s director, Raj Mehta, suggested that he take a ride in the much faster Metro instead. And that’s exactly what Akshay did. Resultantly, the actor reached Versova in just 20 minutes. While in the Metro train, Akshay tweeted a video of himself seated in a corner of the train. He wrote, “Right now, I’m inside the Metro. I have come here quietly. It is taking me only 20 minutes to reach Versova. I’m loving it…”

A day earlier, on 17th September, singer and minister of state Babul Supriyo had to take a ride in an autorickshaw when he was on his way to the airport. His car was stuck in a traffic jam, which would have never allowed him to reach the airport in time to board his flight. The singer shot a video on his phone and posted it on his social media, with the caption: “My car is stuck in jam. I am using the opportunity to sit in an auto… reminiscing the past, the city where I struggled… in an auto. It is a nostalgic feeling… is making me feel very good.”
