The controversial song from Kannada film KD: The Devil reached Parliament on March 18, with Samajwadi Party MP Anand Bhadoria flagging what he described as the harmful impact of unchecked explicit content on OTT platforms and social media. The song has been condemned by many people for its “obscene” lyrics and picturisation on Nora Fatehi and Sanjay Dutt.
Union I & B minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said, the song had already been banned.
The Kannada lyrics of the song are penned by the film’s director, Prem. They have been translated into Hindi by lyricist Raqueeb Alam, for the Hindi dubbed version of the film.
The song has been picturised on Nora Fatehi and Sanjay Dutt. It was released on YouTube two days back and went viral for its lyrics that allegedly describe a sexual act.
