A lady, Sikha Sarma, was arrested on January 19 in Guwahati for allegedly posting offensive and defamatory remarks against late singer and music composer Zubeen Garg on social media over a period of time. The arrest was made after a complaint was filed by Zubeen’s widow, Garima Saikia Garg.
A cop said, an FIR was filed against the accused under various charges, including provoking breach of peace, defamation, and promoting enmity.
