’HARRD DISK’ REVIEW | 21 August, 2026

Common Enterrtainment, Nayamigro Media and Xanthin Funding Dreams’ Harrd Disk (A) is a senseless film about a hard disk which purportedly has enough explosive content for the opposition to topple the government.

Irfan (Jaihind Kumar) and Johnny (Arnav Chandel) enter a house because hot on Irfan’s trail is corrupt police officer Laxmi (Nanda Yadav). Pushpendu (Rahul Arora) has given Johnny a hard disk. Irfan wants it because opposition politician Verma feels, he can dislodge the ruling party once he lays his hands on it. Irfan is Verma’s pawn. Laxmi wants that hard disk to hand it over to the chief minister so that the cases against her can be withdrawn once she delivers the hard disk to the CM. Who gets the hard disk? What is in the hard disk? Who survives and who is killed in the drama?

Udoyrraj Baruah’s story is so stupid that it’s a wonder, the film even got made. His screenplay is so ridiculous that it’s a torture to see the unfolding drama. The contents of the hard disk are so sickening that they make the viewers wonder whether the writer wrote the drama in his sleep. What’s more, almost the entire drama happens inside one house and outside it. Baruah’s dialogues are routine.

Nanda Yadav is so-so as police inspector Laxmi. Jaihind Kumar fails to create any impression as Irfan. Arnav Chandel is okay as Johnny. Rahul Arora is average as Pushpendu. Siddhartha Mukherjee lends poor support as the guard. Chhabi Guragai fails miserably as Lallan. Others are weak.

Udoyrraj Baruah’s direction is poor. Music (by Tapanjyooti Dutta) and lyrics (Rinku Giri and Udoyrraj Baruah) add precious little to the proceedings. Gourav Roy’s camerawork is dull. Even the action and stunt scenes (by Montu Deori) are weak and devoid of thrill. Chhabi Guragai’s production designing, and Nita Bhattarai’s art direction are below the mark. Ratan Sil Sarma’s editing is loose.

On the whole, Harrd Disk is so poor that it will fair miserably at the box-office.

Released on 21-8-’26 at Cinepolis Bhandup (daily 1 show) and another cinema of Bombay thru Lumos Xperiences Pvt. Ltd. Publicity & opening: weak. …….Also released all over. Opening was poor everywhere.
