Jyoti Prakash Films’ Kahi Kshan Premache (Marathi; UA; meaning ‘Some moments of love’) is the story of a lower middle-class man who is so bogged down by his unrewarding job that it takes a toll on the hardworking man’s health. He is the sole bread-winner of his family and feels frustrated and depressed because there’s no appreciation coming his way despite his best efforts as a sales representative. Does his life improve for the better or is it only a downward spiral for him?
Dr. Raj Mane has opted for a story that’s plain depressing. His screenplay is dull, dry, dreary and drab. His dialogues are alright.
Subodh Bhave does a fine job as the middle-class man bogged down by a routine job. Bhargavi Chirmule is quite nice. Viju Khote is okay. Jairam Nair has his moments. Manoj Takne is average. Dr. Vilas Ujawane lends nice support. Maithili Warang, Dr. Chhaya Mane, Jyoti Nisal, Narendra Bhoir, Kamlakar Patil and Namdev Patil provide fair support.
Dr. Raj Mane’s direction is ordinary. Ashok Patki’s music is so-so. Lyrics (by Pravin Davane and Dr. Raj Mane) are fair. Jitendra Achrekar’s cinematography is decent. Sudhir Tarkar’s art direction is so-so. Editing could’ve been tighter.
On the whole, Kahi Kshan Premache is a dull fare.
Released on 12-4-’19 at Bharatmata (daily 1 show) and other cinemas of Bombay thru A.P. Communication. Publicity & opening: terribly poor.
