Released this week in U.P. (at Kanpur), Aadi Shakti Entertainment’s Maa Purnagiri is a mythological with a half-baked story (by Vijaypal Randhava) and equally weak screenplay (by Arvind Tripathi). The drama progresses in a way that makes the script look like being one of complete convenience. Arvind Tripathi’s dialogues add nothing much.
Lakhbir Singh Lakkha, Raj Deep Gill and Poonam Dubey deliver poor performances. Others hardly impress.
Ravi Sinha’s direction is horrifyingly poor. Music (by Durga Natraj and Lakhbir Singh Lakkha) is weak. Lyrics (by Saral Kavi, Amrut Rajasthani, Pappu Bedhadak and Sanjay Giri) are functional. Jahangir Sayyad’s camerawork is bad. Avadhesh Roy’s art direction is weak. Govind Dubey’s editing is jerky.
On the whole, Maa Purnagiri is a flop show.
