‘MANAV MARKET’ REVIEW | 23 January, 2026

Released last week in C.P. Berar (at Bhilai), Vaanya Films, Nims Film and Bhilai Talkies Pictures’ Manav Market (UA) is the story of the pathetic medical system in the country, in which scams are routine and helpless patients are exploited everyday.

Ghulam Haider Mansoori has written a predictable story and screenplay. The drama, therefore, fails to keep the viewers hooked. Many scenes are so predictable that the audience lose interest after a point of time. Mansoori’s dialogues are dull.

Om Tripathi is ordinary as Ishwar Kumar. Neha Shukla does an average job as Kajal. Bali Kurre passes muster as Aditya Verma. Dharmendra Ahirwar provides routine support as the doctor. Others are barely passable.

Ghulam Haider Mansoori’s direction is poor. Music (by Pradeep Sathe, Anugrah Gideon and Seraj Ahmed) is functional and the same goes for the lyrics (Ghulam Haider Mansoori, Bharat Dwivedi, Rahul Mantra and Anugrah Gideon). Suhaan Khan, Manojdeep and Vilas Rout’s choreography is below the mark. Sanju Nanda’s background music is dull. Rajkumar Baghel and Feroz Quraishi’s camerawork leaves something to be desired. Dr. Arun Mishra’s production designing is so-so. Editing (by Satish Dewangan) is loose.

On the whole, Manav Market is a poor fare.
